Weave, Collaboration with Davide Ronco for FORNACE S. ANSELMO, Terraformæ, IT - 2024

This project explores new and alternative ways of using 3D-printed clay technology, pushing the boundaries of what is possible with terracotta.

3D-printing technology enables approaches to serial production, creating products that would otherwise only be possible through traditional hand-building techniques. We moved away from the highly recognizable 3D-printed aesthetic, letting the printer express itself through the single filament, using a language similar to weaving techniques.

The research has led to two distinct outcomes: the Weave Brick and the Weave Tile. They redefine the material’s language by playing with light, depth, and pattern—reshaping the conventional notions of a brick and a tile. The objects convey a sense of lightness and challenge the conventional perception of terracotta—treating it not as a rigid, weighty material, but as a textile, a fabric.

This work will be at the heart of an exhibition at Til:Værks Gallery in Copenhagen in October 2025. The project will culminate in a site-specific architectural installation—an immersive space where visitors can step inside, experiencing how light interacts with the forms, shaping both perception and experience. The installation will feature the Weave Brick and the Weave Tile, outcomes of the intensive residency focused on 3D-printed clay technology, alongside previous works developed in collaboration with the factory.

Loop Hook, designed in SIMON LEGALD STUDIO for NORMANN COPENHAGEN - 2022

Playful, versatile and minimalist. The functional Loop Hook is a clever design brought to life from a simple idea. Designed to accommodate many different hanging needs, the hooks can be used to hang items in multiple ways, offering additional functionality compared to classic hooks. A coat can easily be slung over the hook, an umbrella through the loop or a clothes hanger hung over the discreet wall piece.Loop Hook exudes simplicity with its straightforward expression. The discreet wall mounting piece is almost undetectable, making the design appear like a simplistic, circular silhouette on the wall. The hook comes in three different sizes and multiple colors and is ideal for bathrooms, hallways, kitchens or the children’s room.
